So for my birthday Jer got me a two DVD set with Uptown Girls and Never Been Kissed. One night I was watching Uptown Girls...of course Jer was already passed out :)...but at the end there was a song that really hit me. It's not a new one, obviously because Uptown Girls isn't new, but I put it on our blog because it's totally what I've been struggling with ever since Maya was born. The name is Time by Chantal Kreviazuk.
Time
Time, where did you go?
Why did you leave me here alone?
Wait, don't go so fast
I'm missing the moments as they pass
Now I've looked in the mirror and the worlds getting clearer
So wait for me this time
I'm down I'm down on my knees I'm begging for all your sympathy
But you (I'm just an illusion) you don't seem to care (I wish that I could)
You humble people everywhere (I don't mean to hurt you)
Now I've looked in the mirror and the worlds getting clearer
I'll take what you give me. Please know that I'm learning
So wait for me this time
I should've know better
I shouldn't have wasted those days
And afternoons and mornings
I threw them all away
Now this is my time
I'm going to make this moment mine.
(I shouldn't have wasted those days)
I'll take what you give me. Please know that I'm learning
I've looked in the mirror
My world's getting clearer
So wait for me this time

Merry Christmas!
Sitting in the Bumbo waiting for presents. :)
One of her new toys.....Maya stared in awe at all of her new toys....but unfortunetly she loved the wrapping more than the toys. :)
All the toys Maya got just from Santa...that's not even all the toys she got from everyone else!
Opening presents at Grandma and Grandpa's house....it was naptime and she was soooo tired. If you can see on the bottom...Winnie loves to help open presents! :)

Many Changes...
This week was quite the eventful week. I've been having a really rough time because there have been so many changes with Maya. We went to the Dr on 12/4 and she said that it was okay to start feeding her rice cereal....she wasn't a big fan of that one. :) Then on Sunday I decided it was time to take all of her clean clothes out of her crib and finally put away all her newborn stuff as well as her 0-3 month clothes. If that wasn't hard enough we put her in her crib for the first time. She didn't seem to have any problems though. Monday the 8th we went and got her ears pierced. Then she started holding her own bottle as well as started rolling over. Crazy how it all happened in one week!

Pictures added...
So, I added some new pictures to Maya's slide show. I just couldn't get myself to delete the other slide show so I added her new pictures to it. We got her pictures taken at Sweet Pea Photos and I just love Sheri's work. Here is her website if you would like to see more of her work......www.sweetpeapix.com.

Sad Day.....
I'm having a sad day.....I'm sad because Maya is getting so big. She's so much fun and she's cuter than cute, but I barely remember her being so tiny as a newborn. I don't really remember what it was like having a newborn. One thing is....I sure do feel lucky and VERY fortunate to be able to be home with Maya and Winnie. Everyday I wake up and see Maya smiling and Winnie wagging her tail, I'm reminded how lucky I am to be home with them. It is so awesome to be able to be home and see Maya growing up and the changes she's making. It's like I fall in love with her all over again everyday.

Winnie loves the Boppy
Winnie loves the Boppy, but still isn't too sure about her little sister. She, I don't think can quite figure out what she is. She tries to throw her toy over to Maya hoping that she will throw it for her, but can't understand why she won't do anything with her toy. She will come and lick Maya's face on her terms, but when you set Maya next to her she jumps up and moves.

Busy...busy....busy!!!
Honestly, I don't understand how everyone can keep up on their blog so well. I feel like I suck at this. But, it's probably because I'm trying to work while taking care of two princesses and a hubby!! Life is seriously crazy and don't know if I've gotten the routine going yet....here Maya is 2 1/2 months old and I still don't have the routine down! Jeremy's been working like crazy doing a ton of overtime at Wells Fargo and I've been trying to stay on top of being a mommy plus working on payroll for Love Healthcare. Needless to say the house cleaning has pretty much gone down the drain!!! But, we seriously have been so blessed for me to be able to stay at home and work so we don't have to send Maya to some strange person. It's been so great to be here for my little family. Maya is getting so big!!! She still loves her bath and still loves to sleep. A new found love she has is to lay on the ground and kick and wave her arms and squeal as loud as she can. It is so fun to see her grow, but in the same time is so sad that she's not my tiny little girl anymore. :(

Delivery Day August 1st
On August 1st Mom brought me to see Dr. Langer for my weekly appointment. Come to find out I was leaking amniotic fluid and she sent me over to the hospital to get enduced. It was kind of scarey because reality set in....I was going to see the bundle of joy I had so long waited for. I was already having contractions but nothing consistent. My labor was a total textbook labor, which was awesome! I was so glad. I was in labor for about 5 hours give or take. I was admitted about 8:45 am and I was given pitocin at about 10:30 to get my labor going more. I was complete at about 3:00 and pushed for about 45 min and Maya was born at 3:41 pm. It was awesome for my first baby. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery.
I had to wait for my epidural for about an hour and a half and every time I had a contraction I would squeeze Jeremy's hand as hard as I could. :)
My Nurse Anesthetist ready to give me my epidural.
Our little Maya.....she is so sweet! We had two names picked out. We had Rylie Mae and Maya Naomi. When I looked at her all I could say to her was Maya. So, that's what we named her.

Deep Thoughts by Jer Handy
Hello there folks, family and friends alike. Alas, we are in our third year of marriage soon to start our fourth but it feels like we have been together for decades. We have been so blessed to have made so many memories in such a short amount of time. Never thought that I could really fall in love so deeply and find my one eternal companion after failing in marriage earlier in life but with Natalie at my side, I have found true happiness. Back in 02' I ended one chapter to the interesting story of life and was fortunate to start another when me and Natalie met in June 04'. It has been a non stop thrill ride with twists and turns ever since. We have been fortunate to travel experiencing many different adventures to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of work and survival.
We came to a mutual decision that we wanted to get a dog and chose our beloved Winnie out of a litter of puppies for sale back in August of 04' We couldn't have asked for such a sweeter little girl to provide us with that extra little touch of companionship and unconditional love. She is definitely more than just a dog to us. "The daughter before the daughter" exhibits traits of that little girl who likes to play and depends so much on her parents. She whines when we leave for the day and is deeply saddened when she is home alone. The excited look and joy in her face when we come home is is a simple little gift that we so treasure and try not to take for granted. We try to enjoy everyday that we have with her and appreciate her little spirit and her playful attitude to life. Although daddy might get annoyed sometimes by her constant need to play with her toys and a never ending impulse to tip over her toy bin and spill all her toys to lay out all over the house, it helps me to learn patience and to prepare for our human little princess soon to come.
When I found out that we were going to be parents, I was ecstatic to say the least. Not until our first ultrasound when I was able to see her inside the womb, did I realize a dream come true of someday becoming a father. Even though it may have taken me more time than other proud fathers before me, the wait was worth it as I am blessed to have Natalie as the mother of our children. I hope that we can do a fine job and learn from the experience and provide them with a safe, nurturing and loving home; one that they can feel good to come home to and cherish times with their parents. These are my thoughts for now as we prepare for our little princess not to be comfused with our furry little princess Winnie. Only 3 more weeks left and I sure can't wait for that joyous day!

WOW!!! Crazy couple of weeks!!
Things have been crazy!!! We're just getting ready for this baby to come. Guess she'll come when she wants. When I was 32 weeks prego I got sick and came down with constant dizziness! Yuck! Haven't been able to do much besides enjoy the ride! :) We're now 37 weeks prego and just impatiently waiting for this little princess to come. Both Jer and I are continuing to work and slowly, but surely get the house ready. Our 3 year anniversary is almost here!! Horray! Wow! 3 years!!! Seems like it's been longer. But, it's sure been a great 3 years and continues to get better and better each year!
